Charles Billett – CEO Charles has a mechanical engineering qualification with a total of 42 years in the engineering, construction, building & civils, automotive cable as well as low and medium voltage cable manufacturing industries. He brings with him extensive mechanical & process engineering experience, including research and development on all factory related processes, factory layout, project planning & design. Development & implementation of standard operating procedures, process improvement, Capex administration & control in the Sub-Sahara region. He has extensive experience with saucing, equipment installation & commissioning, as well as comprehensive planned maintenance systems. Charles has developed & controlled strategic planning & long term business strategies, as well as the implementation and auditing of quality management system.
Ernest De Kock – Chief Financial Officer Ernest is a member of the chartered institute of management accountants (cima) and the Zambian institute of chartered accountants, with extensive broad based experience in financial management, commercial management, general management, project/contract management, treasury management, procurement & buying, logistics management (inbound & outbound), internal controls and systems implementation and control. Experience gained in a wide range of industries including manufacturing, mining, agricultural construction and operational environments. Extensive involvement in mergers, acquisition, new business development, closing businesses down and starting operations (greenfield operations) from inception. Operated in South Africa, Botswana, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Zambia, DRC, Kenya and Tanzania Ernest & Charles have a longstanding working relationship over the past 7 years, resulting in Ernest taking leadership of Billett Henning & Harvey’s financial division.
Dr David Ndopu – Executive Officer Dr David Ndopu is a key member of the Billett Henning & Harvey Zambia Ltd team and forms the backbone of liaison between government and the company. Dr Ndopu is a graduate of the Humboldt university in Berlin, Germany, where he obtained a master of arts degree in economics in October, 1985. Dr David Ndopu was awarded a doctorate degree in humanities from St. Thomas institute, Canterbury, England in September, 2016. His career as public servant in the government of Zambia spans over a period of thirty years and has served in different portfolios, rising from the position of economist to the position of director in the economic management department in the ministry of finance. Dr Ndopu was the first director of the public private partnership unit in the ministry of finance, the position he held from 2009 up to 2011. Dr Ndopu retired as a director, of planning and development in the ministry of higher education in May, 2017.
Andy Khumbanyiwa – Executive Officer (Malawi) Andy G. Khumbanyiwa has worked on diverse multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams. He is results-driven, client responsive and has strong analytical, leadership, networking, problem-solving and inter-personal skills. He has vast experience in strategic policy planning, advocacy and implementation; project/ program cycle management, monitoring & evaluation (M&E), as well as human and financial resource management skills.

Andy has vast experience in project management having worked for the African Development Bank for 12 years (1998 – 2010). During that period he worked mainly in the agriculture, agribusiness, natural resource management, environmental, climate change, and integrated rural development sectors. He successfully worked on many multi-million US Dollar projects in many countries across Africa including Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Gambia, Kenya, Uganda, Lesotho and Angola. He has delivered in these projects and achieved the intended project goals/ objectives on time and within budget.
